Meet the people who lead, organise and contribute to the work of the North Sydney Transport Association.
NSTA is led by a team of young people with a shared interest in public transport, advocacy and their communities.
Our team comes from different parts of Sydney and brings different experiences to the Association. While NSTA began with strong connections to North Sydney Boys, our organisation has grown well beyond its original school community.
Meet the people responsible for leading the Association and its work.
Lachlan founded the North Sydney Transport Association and serves as its President. A long-time transport advocate and researcher, he leads NSTA's advocacy program and represents the Association in engagement with governments, councils and transport organisations. He is particularly interested in how public transport can better serve young people and local communities.
president@northsydneytransport.orgCharlie is a longstanding member of NSTA and serves as Vice President. A North Sydney local, Charlie has been involved with the Association through its development and helps support its advocacy, organisational work and day-to-day operations.
vice-president@northsydneytransport.orgMarcus serves as NSTA's Secretary and is based in south-east Sydney. As one of the Association's first members from outside its North Sydney Boys community, Marcus has been part of NSTA's growth into a broader youth-led transport organisation. He oversees the Association's secretarial and administrative work.
secretary@northsydneytransport.orgAden is NSTA's Treasurer and was among the Association's first members from outside North Sydney Boys. As a non-NSB member, Aden has contributed to the Association's development beyond its original school community while overseeing its financial administration and supporting its wider organisational work.
treasurer@northsydneytransport.orgYiping leads NSTA's Events portfolio, a recently established part of the Association's organisational structure. Yiping is responsible for developing and coordinating NSTA's events program, helping create opportunities for members and the wider community to engage with transport advocacy.
events@northsydneytransport.orgSylvia leads NSTA's Marketing & Communications portfolio, one of the Association's recently established portfolios. A transport advocate and resident of south-west Sydney, Sylvia brings a perspective from beyond NSTA's original North Shore base while leading the Association's communications, media and public-facing work.
sylvia@northsydneytransport.orgRoy serves as NSTA's Transit Club Liaison, maintaining the relationship between NSTA and the North Sydney Boys Transport Club. A longstanding member of the Transit Club, Roy helps maintain the connection between the two organisations while supporting collaboration and communication between them.
liaison@northsydneytransport.orgIan is a longstanding member of NSTA and serves as its Archivist. A member of North Sydney Boys, Ian was involved with the school's Bus Club in 2024–25, an early initiative that helped lay the foundations for the Transit Club and ultimately NSTA. He is responsible for preserving the Association's records and history.
